MERIT
BILLBOARD / IMAGE SERIES
Working with pieces by Willy Guhl and Charlotte Perriand, Sarah Hein constructed new relationships between objects through stacking, binding, balance and shifts in scale. Guhl's sculptural forms were tied and assembled into unexpected configurations, while Perriand's Berger stools were balanced and repositioned to emphasize their geometry, proportion and physical presence.
The resulting series reimagined familiar works outside their conventional presentation, using photography and composition to create a distinct visual language for MERIT and extend the collection into a large-scale public image.
